This is a very sweet and elegant Kent Raible pendant from his 'Tiny Treasures' collection, which is part of his limited edition 'Studio Collection'. Although much smaller than most of Raible's work, you see the fine detailing here. The way this piece is designed and constructed has all the Raible trademarks. First you have the lovely Princess cut Pink sapphire bezel set with the attention to detail rarely seen - notice how the top of the gold around the bezel has had a sort of 'frame' cut into it to really showcase the gem.
Then you have all the detail surrounding the gem: four gold balls, giving the shape more interest and dimension, and a step down to yet another layer of gold! The Bale is never an afterthought for Raible, even in his tiniest of creations. Here you can see not only the elegant tapered shape, but also the subtle curve with the granulation held within.
